Dear Soul Ascension Family,
A new chapter is beginning. A new path is calling.
And as we stand at the threshold of what is next, I would love to share something beautiful with you about Śrī Ganesha — the Lord of Auspicious Beginnings.
This coming Monday, 14 September 2026, we celebrate Gaṇeśa Chaturthī, the sacred day dedicated to Ganesha and his divine appearance.
In the Vedic tradition, Ganesha is traditionally invoked before beginning anything of importance — a journey, a new home, a business, a course of study, a spiritual practice or a sacred ceremony.
He is known as the Supreme Guide, and perhaps most famously as the Remover of Obstacles.
But there is a deeper teaching here.
Ganesha does not simply represent the magical disappearance of everything that seems difficult.
He represents the wisdom and intelligence that allows us to recognize an obstacle, understand its lesson, and discover the right way through it.
His beautiful symbolism carries this teaching within it.
His elephant head represents wisdom, memory and the ability to perceive beyond what is immediately visible.
His large ears remind us to listen deeply.
His small eyes represent concentration and focused awareness.
And his trunk reminds us of adaptability — the ability to hold immense strength while remaining sensitive enough to perform the most delicate action.
Even his large belly carries a teaching: the capacity to peacefully contain, digest and integrate the many experiences of life.
And then there is his little vehicle, the mouse.
The mouse can represent the restless mind and endless desire — always moving, searching and wanting more.
When Ganesha sits above the mouse, it symbolizes wisdom governing desire, rather than desire governing consciousness.
Perhaps this is why Ganesha is so deeply connected with thresholds and new beginnings.
Before we move forward, we establish clarity.
Before we act, we remember our intention.
Before we try to change the world outside of us, we become conscious of what is moving within us.
And this feels especially meaningful for us right now.
A new window is opening

And allow your Saṅkalpa — your sacred intention, your conscious inner resolve — to become clear.
Because perhaps the greatest teaching of Ganesha is that not every obstacle needs to be removed.
Some obstacles are meant to be released.
Some are meant to be understood.
And some are actually redirecting us towards our Dharma — the deeper order and right path of our life.
You may wish to sit with the beautiful Ganesha mantra:
ॐ गं गणपतये नमः
Om Gaṃ Gaṇapataye Namaḥ
Allow it to accompany your reflection and your intention.
Perhaps 10/10 will become another beautiful threshold — another window through which you can consciously choose your next step.
